Welcome to Josh Brodie!

In honor of his 21st Birthday, I decided to create an online presence for Josh whether he likes it or not. It is currently 2:07am, the day of his birthday, and I am quite tired. In less than 6 hours I need to be awake and out the door to get him to Block Island so the drinking can begin. So, if my writing seems rushed or out of sorts—I can't spell to begin with so that really doesn't count—please don't complain. If you must, please contact the author here.

This page is about Josh. With universal internet access, I imagine that buisness cards will contain little information on them. All too often they are heavy-stock cards overloaded with ways in which to get in contact with that person. But for the gentleman and the wordsmith (of which Josh is both) the quantity of ink on the paper may prove repetitous, redundant, and repetitive. I predict cards—at least those carried by important people—will be succinct: name, website, email, job title, and that's it. No addresses, no telephone numbers, no faxes, no blogrolls, no office hours, no timezone, and no unnecessary bullshit written in size 4 point. If the person chooses to give you his/her number, s/he will write it on the back. This site secures JoshBrodie.com for that crap, and anything else he may choose to share with the world.

Josh Brodie will be an important man someday, and I'll be damned if I let some punk-ass teenager who idles in 20 IRC channels proclaim himself a 1337|-|4><0|2 by taking the Josh Brodie domain name. If you too feel you will make important contributions to the world someday, I recommend you pick up youractualname.com. The longer you wait, the less of the chance you'll get it. Don't be stuck with poor Michael Jackson, owner of mjjsource.com who now feels compelled to liken his not-guilty verdict with Rodney King or the fall of the Berlin Wall. (No, I am not kidding.. he actually did that on his website shortly following the trial.) MichaelJackson.com is owned by Sony. How would you like it if some corporation owned the rights to your name? Josh, I will not let such a fate befall you. But for now, I own you.

Happy Birthday. Incriminating pictures to follow...
